Major Stormy Sky

"Willy" Likes long gallops in the arena and enjoys eating the sleeves of unsuspecting visitors standing too close to his stall.  Willy is still a little boy in spirit and age, but he may some day be the tallest in the barn.  He is just getting started in his show career and we are all excited to see what he can do.  He is owned by Therese.

Blackburns Gold Mine

In spite of his tender age of 3, "Cloud" is perhaps the most laid back of the bunch.  Slow and steady, he will occasionally play with his pen mate Sebastian, but would rather stand and watch.  Pictured aboard Cloud is Pepper, the big blob of barn cat that doesn't really care where he is as long as he doesn't have to move too fast to get there.  Cloud is owned by Megan, look for them at 4-H shows this year!

My Starry Version

"Chloe" loves people, loves attention, and loves her food.  She gets along with every horse on the place and has roomed with several of the boys including Cloud (who has a crush on her), Sebastian (who tries to pick fights with her but she ignores him), and she's even hung out with Cash and Puddles. Chloe is owned by Michelle.

Jokes on the Wrapper

"Andre" is Mr. Cool and one handsome guy.  We all like how he has a swagger to his walk!  He has extensive training and has a very accomplished show record.  It will be exciting to see what his future holds.  You can find out more about Andre on the for sale page.  Owned by Therese.

Smoke My Assets, "Murphy"

Also known as Marshmallow by birthday party goers, Murphy is a favorite for his entertainment value.  His antics always add a little spice to life at Windmill Stables, and he loves to find the muddiest spot in his pen to roll.  He is a youth world show qualifier and we are proud of our biggest barn resident.  All who know Murphy also know that to be near him is to be eaten by him!  He enjoys acting innocent while an unsuspecting horse or visitor draws near, and then the nibbling begins!   Owned by Therese.

I'm In The Rich Class, "Casper"

Casper is so named because everything spooks him!  The world is a terribly frightening place to Casper, and he will cower behind his brave human if something scary like a shadow on the ground comes his way.  Yet poor little Casper has overcome his fears to become an accomplished show horse, doing everything from showmanship to reining!  We love his black, shiny coat and his athletic antics when playing with his friends.  Owned by Therese.

Haint She Heirogant, "Reba"

Reba is the grand matron resident of Windmill Stables.  We all have a special love for Reba.  A couple years ago Therese nearly lost this lovely mare, but an operation saved her and we are so thankful to have her around.  She has had a long and accomplished show career, and continues to win AQHA points!  She has a special place in my heart for helping Emily gain confidence as a young rider.  When she's not being ridden or shown, Reba makes us all laugh by serving up some major attitude with the boys at feeding time.  Her little sassy buck when it's time to eat is hard to take seriously.  Hopefully she doesn't know we're laughing at her.  Reba is such a special, beautiful lady, we are very glad to have the opportunity to get to know her.  You can see pictures of her and Emily on the riding lessons page.

Baron

Baron enjoys being the center of his loving family's attention!  He expects his faithful family to come see him every day, and it's a rare day that Mr. Baron doesn't get some sort of attention.  He plays his role of good ole boy very well.  He is the "give rides to anybody and everybody" horse, and he serves as a kind, patient instructor and steady friend.  He was the Lenz family's first horse and they sure picked a good one!  Now big Baron has a new, younger buddy that he has to share with his family, and he sometimes shows a bit of jealousy.  But, most of the time, he appreciates his playful pen mate.

"Tucker"

Tucker enjoys stealing some of the Lenz family's attention from his big buddy Baron.  But he quickly gets out of Baron's way when the old guy has had enough.  Tucker is just 5 but he is quiet and calm and a wonderful 2nd horse for a family that needed one.  We think he's just really handsome with his flaxen mane and white socks, but he's not one to care how he looks.  He's your typical big little boy that likes to play with Sebastian and act tough.  He was raised and trained by Ron Mallam, and Ron stops in to visit every once in awhile.  He is happy that Tucker is with a wonderful family that will cherish him forever.  Tucker is proving himself to be a calm, reliable mount, and he is a great one to ease Baron's workload of four Lenz riders.

Im Your Deck "Sebastian"

Sebastian came to us last summer and we are so excited to have him.  He is 4-years old but is so well trained and calm that we have plans for Emily to possibly show him in 4-H this year if Emily is ready.  He is very loveable and also has some show accomplishments during his young career.  He is an AQHA point earner and futurity money earner, and we hope to be able to use him to his abilities.  He likes to pester Chloe and Cloud, and plays very rambunctiously, but under saddle he is all business.  Sebastian is owned by Michelle and Emily and was raised and trained by Rystrom Quarter Horses.
